Designing Compelling AR and VR Experiences

Recent developments have been meant that AR and VR technology is more widely available than ever before, and there are a wide range of tools that can be used to create AR and VR applications. However these applications are very different from other mobile or desktop experiences and so developers need to learn key design skills. This workshop has provided an overview of AR and VR interface design, user experience development, and AR and VR content authoring tools. Examples have drawn from leading companies and academic laboratories. Research direction was also discussed which affects future AR and VR development.
