MUFY Team 1 (Teoh Tze Han, Chin Cheok Lee, Chee Min Hao, Ee Jia Hao) and MUFY Team 2 (Gan Jing En, Tan Wei Shaw, Wong Syen Jeng, Yong Kuan Chen) competed against teams comprising working adults from Corporations and Professional Associations as well as postgraduate/undergraduate teams from leading Universities across the country.
In the qualifying rounds, contestants competed against 5 Artificial Intelligent (AI) teams to manage a $40-mil company over an 8-year period in a simulated market environment, making decisions across Strategy & Tactics. Financing, Product Pricing & Margins, Marketing, Product Quality, Production, Labour and Process Chain to gain competitive advantage.
Both MUFY teams entered the final round of the Challenge and battled through an exciting 8-hour long live competition with the other finalists on 12 October 2019 at Pullman Hotel Bangsar.
MUFY Team 2 emerged as runners-up, just behind Team Siemens Malaysia who were the champions. These two teams will be representing Malaysia in the Asian Association of Management Organisations (AAMO) Business Challenge in 2020.
The competition used the world-leading Capsim® experiential learning business simulation platform applied in American and European Universities and Corporations which provides a superior practical learning experience.
